Rebecca Zama, ZAMA onstage, is a Boston-based singer, songwriter, and pianist. She has a lifelong love of music and began singing, writing music, and performing at the age of 3. Although she is young, she has already garnered an impressive amount of musical accolades thus far in her career: Boston Music Awards International Artist of the Year and R&B Artist of the Year nominee, Prestigious Haitian Music Awards Female Artist of the Year nominee. ZAMA’s music is a fusion of all of the different worlds that have inspired her music today. She has brought her high energy and soulful vocals to global stages.
2016 ushered in a new chapter of ZAMA’s career, as she brought her R&B/Soul background and fused it with Zouk, Konpa, and Kizomba to make her special mark on the Haitian and World music industries. Accurately described as a jeune prodige by Le Nouvelliste, ZAMA’s skills span beyond music.
ZAMA is also an actress, dancer, poet, and philanthropist. Her love and passion for Haiti that led her to starting Haiti Global Youth Partnership, Inc. This organization is a 501c3 nonprofit that provides enrichment programs to the youth of the rural village of L’Asile, Haiti.
